Tell us about your house and you get a straight answer on the size it needs, worked out from your home's own measurements, so you do not pay for size you will never use. We take pride in the work you will not see. Every ducted system we supply and install carries our 7 year workmanship warranty.

Signs it is time
When an old ducted system needs looking at
Rooms that never get there
The living room is fine and the back bedroom never cools. Often a duct has come loose, or the system was always the wrong size.
It needs gas again
Then it has a leak. Another top-up is not a repair: the leak gets fixed, or the system gets replaced.
Water marks on the ceiling
Usually a blocked drain or a sweating duct. Left alone, it becomes a ceiling repair too.
Sticky on humid days
An evaporative cooler struggles in damp air and does nothing in winter. Refrigerated ducted fixes both.
How we install ducted air conditioning
Most of a ducted system lives above the ceiling, where you will never see it, so that is where we spend the time. We insulate the ducting and size each run from your home's measurements, so the back bedroom gets its share of air. The unit sits over a drip tray with a trapped drain, which carries condensation away before it can mark your ceiling.
Inside the house, we lay floor protection where we walk, and every box and offcut leaves with us. Before we go, we balance the air across the zones and show you how to run the system and clean the filter.
Our 7 year workmanship warranty
On a ducted system we supply and install, the warranty covers our work: the ducting, every place we go through your walls and ceilings, the mounting of both units, the condensate drainage and the commissioning. You get it in writing once the job is paid.
The one condition is a service at least once every 12 months by a licensed air conditioning technician. The equipment carries its maker's warranty, and our electrical work carries 12 months. The warranty does not cover storm, flood, fire, lightning or surge damage, other people's work on the system, or a filter that was never cleaned; the full list is in our terms.
Brands and zones
Your quote usually sets out three brands at three prices, and whichever you choose, we install it the same way. Panasonic leads our range, and for ducted we also install Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Samsung and Hisense. Zoning lets you run just the bedrooms at night, and you control the whole system from a wall controller or your phone.
Replacing an old ducted system
A loose duct or a blocked drain is a repair, and we fix those too. When it is time to replace, we size the new system from your house, not from the label on the old one. The old unit comes out with its refrigerant recovered.
Sound ductwork can sometimes stay, and your quote says whether it does. We test what we connect to, but we cannot warrant ductwork we did not install.
Changing from evaporative to refrigerated
An evaporative cooler blows outside air through wet pads, so it needs the windows open and dry weather, and it does not heat. Refrigerated ducted cools with the house shut and heats in winter, so one system covers summer and winter.
We build a conversion like any new ducted install, with a return air grille and a washable filter added, because the air now goes round the house instead of out the windows. The old cooler comes out and we seal its opening weather-tight.
One company for the electrical and the air conditioning
The electrical work goes on the same quote: a lockable isolating switch beside the outdoor unit, and a circuit of its own with safety switch protection where the system needs one. If your switchboard needs work first, we tell you and price it before we go any further.
What affects the price
Every price is the full installed price, GST included, worked out from your home's measurements, and it holds for the job as described until the date on your quote. If we have not been through your home yet, a free site visit confirms it before anything is ordered. What sets it:
- The size of system the house needs
- The brand and model
- Zones and outlets
- New or existing ductwork
- Access, and two storey homes
- Switchboard work, if needed
- Removing an old system

FAQ
Questions people ask
What do you need from me to quote?
Your suburb and a few lines about the house, and floor plans if you have them. If we have not been through your home when you accept, a free site visit checks access and the ceiling space and confirms the final figure before anything is ordered.
What if you find something in the ceiling nobody could see?
We stop, tell you what we found, price it, and you decide before we carry on. Nothing extra is done or charged without your yes. If we find material we suspect is asbestos, we stop work in that area and do not disturb it. You arrange the testing or removal.
Is a bigger system better?
No. A bigger machine costs more to buy, and one too big for the house runs in short bursts and leaves the air damp. If you still want one, your quote can show what one size up adds.
